A 19-year-old pregnant girl from Kabodho in Kisumu County has committed suicide after being frustrated by her mother and grandmother.
According to Pap Onditi Local Chief Charles Ogolla, the deceased's body was discovered dangling from the rooftop of her granny's house on Wednesday.
He claims the girl, who graduated from Rae Girls School last year, also stated in the note that she was two months pregnant.
She also stated that she was planning to attend university but that neither her grandmother nor mother were concerned, so she chose to end her life to relieve their burden.

According to Chief Ogolla, police from Pap Onditi arrived, carried the deceased to the mortuary, and began an inquiry into the incident.
The chief asked people of the sublocation to normalize their search for alternative answers to the challenges they face in their daily lives.
