Interior Cabinet Secretary(CS) Kithure Kindiki on Friday gave a shoot-to-kill order against criminals targeting security camps or security officers.
The CS said any criminal shooting who has been bestowed the duty to protect Kenyans will be dealt with ruthlessly.
He emphasized the government's intentions to end regional insecurity while commissioning a General Service Unit (GSU) camp in Tiaty Constituency, Baringo County.
Additionally, he said that the govt will install several camps in Tiaty to quell incessant banditry in the area.
Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket called on the government to allocate more administrative units to reclaim areas bandits had taken as their haven.

Further, he called for the deployment of National Police Reservists to compliment the GSU officers in tracking down bandits who still reign in the area, causing havoc.
Silale has been a haven for bandits to stage attacks in neighboring Samburu and Turkana counties and hide in the area.
