A Nairobi court recently ordered a defendant's freedom in the killing of Eric Maigo, the acting finance director of Nairobi Hospital.

This comes after the prosecution declared insufficient justification for an accusation or keeping the accused suspect in custody.

The prosecution requested her to be held for five days so that investigations could be completed last week.

The court was informed that there wasn't enough evidence to charge the respondent and that the file had been transferred to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions after investigations.

The woman was released after the random file was closed.

Last week, Eric Maigo, the acting finance chief at Nairobi Hospital, was found in a pool of blood at his home in Nairobi's Woodley Estate with 25 stab wounds.

We'll have more soon.
