Kisii gospel musician Chris Mosioma, famously known as Embarambamba, has apologized after the Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) banned his songs for being vulgar and immoral.
In a video seen by waza, the singer posted on his social media platforms that he pleaded for forgiveness for the sake of his children because he is the sole breadwinner.
"Please naomba msamaha, kwa sababu ile barua mmeniwekea kwa mkono wangu ni nzito. Najua bianadamu aliyezaliwa na mwanamke hawezi kosa makosa. Nawaomba msamaha," Embarambamba begged.

"Mimi nilijua nafanya hizi nyimbo za Mungu watoto wangu wasome, wakule vizuri na mimi nikae vizuri kwa maisha yangu. Lakini Wakenya, sina uwezo," he added.
Embarambamba explained that what he has been doing online is wrong and that he plans to change his content to fit society norms.
"Mngeniskiza. Kuliko nidelete nyimbo zangu kutoka Youtube, mnibakishie kidogo ili nisomeshe watoto wangu na wapate kitu ya kukula. 6.4 million views yote jamani?" Embarambamba further begged.
This came after The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) banned his songs from YouTube over the spread of inappropriate content.
Chris Embarambamba's song "Niko Uchi" sparked controversy for its purported gospel theme, which the KFCB argues invites ridicule to the Christian religion.
The Board said the song reportedly contains nudity and vulgarity and promotes violent and imitable behaviors, raising concerns about its impact on impressionable audiences, especially minors.
“The song titled: 'Niko Uchi', which is purported gospel invites ridicule to the Christian religion, also contains nudity, vulgarity. It has further been noted that some of the artist's dancing styles are violent and others present imitable behaviour, which if copied by children/minors, can be dangerous and disastrous,” said Muluka.
