After viciously stabbing a man during a fight at a gas station on June 15, former professional wrestler 2 Cold Scorpio—who shared a WCW Tag Team Championship with Buff Bagwell in the early 1990s—was taken into custody. However, he maintains that he was acting in self-defense.

The violent incident occurred at a Love's Travel Stop in Kansas City, Missouri, at approximately 3:40 AM, according to court documents that TMZ Sports was able to obtain.

According to the authorities, 2 Cold Scorpio, also known as Charles Scaggs, told them he was a security guard at the store when he noticed a man who had lit up a cigarette inside.

The victim claims to TMZ Sports that he did not light up inside the store and that, although he believed the dart to be extinguished before entering, it may not have been completely extinguished.

After telling the man he couldn't smoke inside, according to Scaggs, the man got agitated and exclaimed, "F you the f*** you gonna do?"

The man allegedly threatened Scaggs after that, and when they eventually left the store, he allegedly attempted to wrestle with him.

Authorities were informed by Scaggs that he stabbed the man in self-defense during the altercation after taking a knife out of his pocket. The wrestler claimed that the fight continued for a few more seconds, during which he also delivered a few more stab wounds.

When police got there, they say they discovered the stabbed man bleeding from his head, chest, buttocks, legs, and abdomen while he lay on the ground. They also said that because he was losing consciousness, he was taken to a nearby hospital.

However, the documents state that when they spoke with him later that day at the medical center, he admitted to them that Scaggs was the one who had initiated the altercation.

In the end, Scaggs was placed in jail and charged with two felonies: one count of first-degree assault and one count of using a weapon in criminal activity.

According to court documents, he entered a not guilty plea to the charges after bonding out. Next month, he is expected back in court for a hearing on the matter.

In 1985, Scaggs made his debut in the professional wrestling industry. He later competed for multiple promotions, including the WWE.

He wrestled primarily under the ring name 2 Cold Scorpio, but he also went by "Flash Funk." Throughout his career, he won numerous championship belts.
