Hulk Hogan is under fire for allegedly dismissing a brand ambassador for his Real American Beer after discovering she was a Black woman. Influencer Essence Jenai shared her experience in two TikTok posts, stating she was hired on a one-week contract to represent Hogan’s beer at various parties and promotional events.

However, after meeting Hogan in person for the first time, she claims she was abruptly fired, suggesting she was initially hired through a booking agency.

In her first TikTok, Essence posted images from the initial in-store event with Hogan and captioned it, “@Hulk Hogan thanks for making it clear that you don’t work with BLACK brand ambassadors.” She reiterated her point within the video, saying, “POV: Hulk Hogan paid you to be a brand ambassador and canceled your contract the next day because he realized you were a BLACK brand ambassador.”

Essence provided further evidence in a second clip, showing a text exchange indicating she was let go under the pretense of event cancellations. However, upon checking social media, she found that the events continued without her and another Black woman she worked with, featuring three non-Black women instead.

Waza News has reached out to Real American Beer for comment.

Many who heard her story pointed out that the accusation aligns with Hogan’s controversial past. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, was fired from WWE in 2015 after a recording surfaced of him repeatedly using the n-word. He was reinstated in 2018. Additionally, Marc Lamont Hill reported that Hogan referred to Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson using the n-word and "sambo" in the same recording.

Following the release of the offensive audio, Hogan issued a statement: “Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it. This is not who I am.

I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs, or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs.”
