TikTok sensation Azziad Nasenya has finally addressed speculations that she is part of Kenya's team for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

The Tiktoker posted on her Instagram page denying the claims of being one of the people the Ministry of Youth Affairs planned to fly out to Paris.

"I am not part of the Kenya delegation to the Paris Olympics 2024. It is unfortunate that someone would come up with false allegations on such a matter. My involvement with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports was centred around the Creatives Technical Committee of the Talanta Hela Council, headed by Daniel Ndambuki, AKA Churchill."

"I was selected and mandated to represent the younger population in the Creatives Technical Committee. However, the committee was disbanded in June 2023. I've not involved myself since."

Azziad said that her most recent trip to Dubai, which sparked controversy and misinformation online, was fully funded by the organizers of the #VisitDubai initiative rather than the Kenyan government and that it was a content-creation trip for which she had already published receipts on her social media accounts.

"I would also like to make it clear that my travel to Dubai and other places have been financed by myself, clients, or family, and never, as numerously claimed, by the Government of Kenya," she stated.

"There were allegations that I traveled to Dubai using money meant to renovate a stadium. At the time, I was in Dubai recording content for the #VisitDubai campaign, a trip that was fully funded by the client. The receipts are on my socials-smart, so people can confirm instead of believing rumours."

Nasenya's statement follows considerable public pressure on Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba to release the complete list of everyone traveling to Paris for the Olympics.
