Boniface Mwangi, a prominent photographer-turned-activist, has sharply criticized President William Ruto's leadership. On his X handle, Mwangi condemned Ruto for allegedly spending too much time hosting visitors at State House instead of using his Harambee office for effective governance. He also accused the government of targeting him with threats and intimidation.

In his statement, Mwangi said, "Ruto Amenipigia Simu Mara 3 Akiniita State House Tuonge. Kama Unataka Tuongee Enda Uonge Na Hao Vijana Uliua Kwa Maandamano, Sio Kutuma Watu Wakuje Kuharibu Ofisi Yangu, Hii Kenya Si yako."

His bold remarks accuse the president of evading accountability for alleged misconduct during protests and attempting to suppress dissent through intimidation.

Mwangi added, "The constant trolling, goons sent to our offices, and threats to harm me are all because I said I’m not interested in meeting President Ruto. Here is my statement on the direct attacks from state operatives. Yaaani Zakayo Amejam Nimekataa Kwenda State House. Sitishiki Na Sibanduki."

Mwangi's fearless stance and accusations have heightened scrutiny of President Ruto's administration, underscoring concerns about freedom of speech and political intimidation in Kenya.
