Last month, Candace Owens released a full-length interview with Kanye West, which has led to significant consequences for her YouTube channel. Earlier this week, the conservative commentator announced on X (formerly Twitter) that she would be pausing her activity on YouTube after being demonetized and suspended by the platform. The suspension stems from West's antisemitic remarks during the interview.

Owens revealed that YouTube removed the interview, labeling it "hate speech" after it was mass-reported. She attributed the reports to "Zionists" and suggested that she was being specifically targeted. Owens also theorized that her interview with Kanye was under heightened scrutiny because of her recent debate with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach on Piers Morgan's show.

"The world knows why I am being targeted," Owens wrote. "I have never been more confident that I am the right person for this to happen to." She claimed that she previously had no strikes on her YouTube account but received three consecutive content violations within minutes, followed by an email informing her of full demonetization. "We all know exactly who's behind this and why," she added.

YouTube confirmed Owens' suspension in a statement to The New York Post. According to spokesperson Jack Malon, Owens' channels were removed from the YouTube Partner Program due to repeated violations of the platform's Advertiser-Friendly and Community Guidelines. Malon also mentioned that Owens frequently breached YouTube’s policies but could reapply for monetization in 90 days.
