Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz has solidified is one of Africa's highest-earning artists on YouTube, ranking third on the 2024 list of top-earning African musicians on the platform.
As reported by Africa Facts Zone, Diamond generated an impressive $2.7 million (approximately Sh6.8 billion) over the past year, reflecting his immense popularity and consistent delivery of captivating content.
The Bongo Flava icon follows South Africa's Tyla, who leads the list with $3.1 million, and Egypt's Mohamed Ramadan, who ranks second with $2.8 million.

Despite this, Diamond Platnumz continues to be a trailblazer for Tanzanian and East African artists.
His impressive earnings are driven by his global appeal, stunning music videos, and a loyal fan base that spans far beyond Tanzania. With 9.6 million YouTube subscribers and a staggering 2.8 billion total views, Diamond’s influence on the platform remains unparalleled.
Notably, fellow Tanzanian artists Rayvanny and Harmonize also secured spots on the rankings. Rayvanny ranked 19th, earning $580,400, while Harmonize rounded out the top 20 with $565,900.
Furthermore, Egypt had a significant presence on the list, with Mohamed Ramadan earning $2.8 million to claim the second spot. Tamer Hosny, another Egyptian superstar, ranked fourth with $1.9 million, while Ahmed Saad followed at seventh, earning $1.2 million. Sherine rounded off Egypt’s strong representation by securing the 10th position with $1 million.
From Nigeria, Burna Boy led the way, securing the sixth spot with earnings of $1.5 million. Kizz Daniel also made the list, ranking eighth with $1.2 million.
North African artists had a strong presence as well, with Algeria's Soolking taking fifth place with $1.7 million and Tunisia's Balti landing in ninth with $1.1 million.
