Eric Omondi, a content producer and comedian, has reacted angrily to Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria's admission that he regretted funding his trip to the United States seven years ago.

Eric, a vociferous opponent of the Finance Bill 2023, has gone to London "for lunch" to demonstrate to Mr Kuria that he can pay his visits abroad.

In an Instagram post, the comedian pleaded with the CS not to accept the new tax on content creators so that they could also go Business Class without political sponsorship.

"After hearing Moses Kuria speak, I decided to go to London for lunch and thank God for bringing us this far." Thank you for financing my tour seven years ago, bwana Kuria, but please don't tax content creators 15% so they can tour on their own," he remarked.

Mr Kuria lambasted Eric on live TV on Wednesday during the Big Conversation debate presented by Citizen TV for challenging the government over the draft Bill.

He expressed sorrow for allegedly sponsoring Eric on a trip to the United States seven years ago, claiming he should have spent the money for fun instead.

"I've heard Eric Omondi pretend to be a youth. "I used my own money to take him to America to expose him seven years ago, and right now, based on how he's talking, I wish I used that money to party because it doesn't seem like he learned anything," Mr Kuria said from Belarus.

The comedian, who was also on the podium, remained unaffected and continued to criticize the administration for making 'false' promises to Kenyans.
