After being accused of being an absentee father, Mugithi musician Samuel Muchoki made a joke in response.

Following Senator Karen Nyamu's explosive interview on Saturday and Edday Nderitu's answer, in which she confirmed their breakup and said she was "leaving him to whoever needed him the most," a netizen accused the artist of being unfaithful and ignoring his fatherly responsibilities.

"Mbali na ku'cheat wewe ni deadbeat," the Facebook user wrote under one of his posts on Saturday.

A video of the artist driving at an unidentified place was shared online. He appeared to be having a great time and not worrying during the video.

After his first spouse, Edday Nderitu, who currently resides in the United States with their children, confirmed that they had split up.

The mother of three clarified that she is single in her statement on Saturday morning. She also said she had decided to leave her husband of more than ten years and move in with her kids.

She went on to say that since she ended her marriage, she has been raising his three kids by herself.

"Nimeweza kushughulikia mahitaji ya watoto wangu hadi sasa bila usaidizi na sijutii hata kidogo."

Edday replied to comments made by Karen Nyamu, Samidoh's second wife, who said that despite her current residence in the United States, she and the Mugithi singer still have a good relationship and communicate frequently.

When asked about reports that she still speaks to her spouse, Edday responded by saying,

"Kuhusu mawasiliano na simu za video nitaachia hapo kwani watu wengine wanaonekana kuwepo wakati hayo yanafanyika lakini mimi sifahamu. Katika msimu huu mpya wa maisha yangu sihitaji drama yoyote, nahitaji amani tu, natumai kipindi kijacho cha mfululizo huu jina langu litaachwa."

In an interview with Ala C, Karen Nyamu emphasized that Edday is going nowhere because the union between her and Samidoh is powerful.
