Akothee has fired back to a fan who told her she is not fit to talk to school girls. A social media user who goes by the name Brian told Akothee through the comment section that she wasn't appropriate to talk to young females. "You don't fit to speak with innocent girls please even the security should chase you away , life is not only about having money but how you respect your self matters," comment Brian.
In response, Akothee playfully advised him to buy more data bundles so that he could watch her speech. This remark sparked a range of reactions among Kenyans, with some expressing their views on the comment.
On August 3, 2023, the renowned musician Akothee took to her social media platforms to make a special announcement. She revealed that she will be the guest speaker at Ngiya Girls, expressing her excitement about the upcoming event. Additionally, Akothee hinted at an upcoming project and encouraged former students of the school to actively participate in it.
