Famous Nigerian afrobeat singer Wizkid, whose official name is Ayodeji Balogun, is mourning the sudden death of his mother.
According to the singer's manager, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, Wizkid's mother, died on Friday at about 1:30 a.m. local time. Sunday Are, Wizkid's long-time manager, confirmed the news, saying Mrs Balogun died in the early hours of Friday.
"She died this morning, around 1:30 a.m.," said Sunday Aaare.
According to sources,Wizkid's mother died after a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind three children, wizkid and his two sisters, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun.
