Raila Odinga and his family staged an extravagant birthday party for his loving wife, Ida Odinga, on Thursday, August 24.

Ida Odinga was turning 73 and celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

The special event was held at a luxury five-star hotel in Nairobi and was attended by influential Azimio leaders, close friends, and known entertainment industry stars.

Raila, who had just returned from a brief visit to the United Kingdom, went to great lengths to plan a fantastic birthday party for his wife, Mama Ida, who celebrated her 73rd birthday that night.

Ida stepped out of a magnificent white Limousine equipped with elegant flower arrangements as the pair arrived at the Villa Rosa Kempinski hotel to a gathering of well-wishers and supporters.

Ida radiated elegance in a beautiful green African lace gown, complimented by flawless makeup and a bouquet of birthday flowers.

The evening began with a traditional dance performance that welcomed Ida's arrival, setting the tone for a culturally diverse and joyful evening.

The main arena was graced with Ida's presence as she performed a graceful wardrobe change into a beautiful green and gold African Velvet lace skirt suit.

Raila walked out in his distinctive style, wearing a classic blue vintage button-down shirt with navy blue slacks and loafers.

Raila remarked in his address, "The baby is born, and it is now upon me to wish her a happy birthday." You can all see her face is gleaming, and we want to wish her many more years. Because I used to live in Germany, I want to give her a happy birthday in German and English."

Several prominent opposition politicians attended the birthday party, including Martha Karua, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Governor of Siaya County, James Orengo, and Azimio La Umoja Principal Eugene Wamalwa, MP Babu Owino.

The renowned artist Prince Inda serenaded the crowd with his melodic tunes, keeping the joyous atmosphere alive and bright.
