Kenyan singer Otile Brown believes that bongo music is dying amid the ongoing war between Kenyan artists and bongo musicians.
Otile Brown took to his Instagram story to express his opinion about the Tanzanian genre.
"bongo flavour imeisha,au wewe unaiskia aje? au data ndio umejizimisha" he posted.
His opinion comes when kenya and Tanzania are engaged in a battle of whose music is the best. Last week, Kenyan rapper Papa Jones, famously known as Khaligraph, rattled feathers across the border when he declared himself the best rapper in the larger subsaharan region. He claimed that Tanzanians have no rappers who can do better than him.

Papa Jones gave Tanzanian rappers 24 hours to respond with their rap.
"Naskia Tanzania Ma Rapper wameshika Moto, Yall have 24 hrs to go to the the studio and Record, na msiniletee amapiano, Bomboclat, Ingieni kwa Kiwanja tupimane nguvu, You will respect The OG.." he posted
After a few back and forths, Papa Jones apologized to Tanzanian artists, claiming the media took things out of proportion.
"You know bloggers must always look for the news that will sell, so there was an ongoing conversation in that aspect, and my statement was blown out of context." He said
"For the, longest time now we cannot dispute the fact that Tanzania music has been superior and even when you come to Kenya, you will find that the top songs on YouTube are from Tanzania. And it's not a bad thing but sometimes when you are doing interviews one wants to show you that you are not doing okay on the market. So in that context, I have to defend my people," Papa Jones explained.
