The decomposing body of a middle-aged man was found hanging from a tree in a bush close to a Kisumu road junction along the Kericho-Kisumu Highway.
This sent shock and anguish through the surrounding areas of Kericho town. The man is believed to have hanged himself on the tree, according to junior police officers assigned to the Nyagacho police station.
However, the officer stated that a post-mortem would be performed on the body to determine the precise reason for the man's demise.
He claimed that after a foul odor came from the thicket, members of the public and touts who often do business at the crossroads found the body.
