The controversial Kenyan singer and businesswoman Akothee has caused quite a stir on the internet with her distinctive costume during her performance in Sweden. In the face of criticism, Madam Boss has staunchly defended herself and encouraged people to differentiate between Akothee as a person and Akothee as an artist.
On Monday, the mother of five, Akothee, took to her social media platforms to offer netizens a sneak peek at her attire—a stylish, long-sleeved black swimsuit. It appeared that Akothee was well aware that her post might provoke a significant amount of backlash from internet users.
Hence, she included a disclaimer alongside the photos, explicitly stating that no one should view her as a role model when it comes to stage performances as an artist.
"This is AKOTHEE THE ARTIST
The singer, the entertainer and not your type of Role model. This Akothee the artist has a different target market today. Put your mouth where your money is.

Being one who is known to always speak her mind, Madam Boss has quickly fired back to the people who trolled her because of the outfit.
Taking to her social media platforms, the mother of five infact defended her dressing saying that she was just performing on stage. Therefore people should understand that this is not her normal dress code.
Akothee further boasted of her performance skills while on stage, saying that she had to do it because she trains in the gym on how to dance.
"You see this costume Kenyans will say I am naked, see there are bottles breaking now. The table shaker has done it again in Sweden.
Tell them I don't go to the gym for nothing. Music is for the eyes sound is for the ears, let them learn between performance costume and dress code.
If they don't agree let them call the police..." she wrote in part.
