Veteran Kenyan singer Mwanaisha Abdalla, famously known as Nyota Ndogo, has expressed her dissatisfaction with certain internet users. They have been subjecting her to derogatory comments regarding her appearance and choice of attire, a situation she deems both exasperating and regrettable.
The 42-year-old artist, renowned for the hit song 'Watu Na Viatu,' took to her Facebook account to candidly address these detractors in a recent post.
In her post, Nyota Ndogo emphasized to the netizens that she didn't have a hand in creating herself, and thus, they shouldn't criticize her appearance.
The accomplished singer also pointed out that her Danish husband, Henning Nielsen, fully accepted her just the way she was, underscoring that his opinion was the one that held significance to her.
"Sauti na sura haziambatani! Kabisa, sauti inamtoa nyoka pangoni, but sura inamrudisha nyoka pangoni. Sura ni ya Ken Wa Maria. Huna nguo zingine jameni? Nice song anyway. The only positive thing from you...JAMANI MIMI SIKUJIUMBA. NA PIA MUME WANGU HALALAMIKI KUWA ANALALA NA ZOMBI" Nyota Ndogo wrote.

The majority of her fans offered their support and called out those who criticized her appearance.
This isn't the first instance where Nyota Ndogo confronted her critics directly. When she shared her pregnancy news, some internet users once more subjected her to trolling, asserting that she was too old to conceive a baby.
At 42 years old, the coastal-based singer swiftly responded by asserting that she was still youthful and perfectly capable of carrying a baby in her womb.
"Wenye husema mimi nimzee sifai kuzaa siku yakujifungua njooni msukume nyinyi maana nyinyi ndio mna nguvu za kusukuma. Kwanza mimi am only 42 bado mchanga sana. Happy birthday to me, oh sorry congratulations to me..." she wrote on her social media.
