Residents of Tumaini Estate in Kitale are in shock after the body of a prison constable was discovered inside her rented house.
According to police records, Linda Machuma Wafula's body was discovered on Sunday after neighbors noticed a terrible stench emanating from her home.
According to a police investigation, Ms Wafula was last seen at her house on February 1, and her body was recovered on Sunday.
Officers arrived at her home on Sunday after receiving allegations and finding her dead, leaning against a double-decker bed.
They stated she used an electric cord, which was found still wrapped around her neck.
During a later search, no suicide note was discovered in her residence. Crime scene investigators examined the area, and her body was taken to the Cherangany Nursing Residence Mortuary.
