Cleophas Malala, UDA Party Secretary General, has responded to Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi's mocking of him over a previous warning to respect the party leadership and presidency.
Malala warned Sudi and other party leaders, including two Cabinet Secretaries, advising them to refrain from publicly demeaning party officials, notably Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and President William Ruto.
Sudi later hit back, referring to his party's secretary general as an “Elevated MCA suffering from illusory superiority, thinking he matches Raphael Tuju's calibre."

Malala insisted that the message released on Sudi's social media site X came from his communications team, not the politician himself.
He said that MP Sudi, a close associate of Ruto, is a respected leader who cannot disparage other leaders.
"When I saw that tweet I laughed it off because I knew it was not him who wrote it. I would urge him to communicate with his communications team which is handling his Twitter account to seek his approval before posting anything on his account," he said.
"I am certain MP Sudi is a respectable leader and he is my friend. It is not him who tweeted that tweet I know his handwriting. I would urge all those MCAs who felt belittled to understand that it was not Sudi who tweeted that."
Malala has been attacked over the past 24 hours by individuals he highlighted in his warning message. Mutahi Kahiga, the governor of Nyeri, replied that Malala is inconsequential in the UDA party and should be expelled immediately.
"Ag SG Malala at UDA is like a square peg in a round hole." He does not fit. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: we must defeat him in the next UDA elections," Kahiga added.
The scuffle comes amid reports that the president and his deputy are feuding, exposing party fractures.
