Authorities in Kericho County are investigating the discovery of a middle-aged man's body found abandoned in Marumbasi Village, Sigowet location.
The victim, identified as a resident of Chemegong Village, is believed to have been killed on Saturday night before his body was dumped in a thicket on farmland in Marumbasi.
Family members located the body on Sunday, following concerns after the man was last seen at Corner Trading Center on Saturday night, socializing and drinking with friends.
Circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, but police have arrested one suspect linked to the incident. The individual is currently assisting law enforcement in ongoing investigations.
The case was reported to Sondu Police Station, and the body has since been transferred to Sigowet Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
