Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has come out to defend the Jubilee Party amid ongoing wrangles.
He has called upon the Kenya Kwanza government to respect and leave the Jubilee Party alone, just as he has respected that they are in power.
"When Kenyans made a decision last year, as leaders who were in power then, accepted that decision, move on and handed over power, we also want them to respect our rights as members of our party," he said.
The Jubilee party is currently divided with some members led by its acting SG Kanini Kega, who has pledged to work with the government.

The other side is led by Jeremiah Kioni, who firmly said the Jubilee party is in Azimio.
A standoff had been witnessed on Wednesday between the supporters of Kioni and Jubilee party acting secretary general Kanini Kega at the premises.
As a result, a phone call by Kioni saw Uhuru appear in public due to the party wrangles.
"Wakati nimepigiwa na SG na ameniambia yale ambayo yametendeka, nimekuja kusimama na yeye na wafuasi wa chama chetu kulinda haki ya chama chetu. Sina lolote lingine."
