On May 30, Mount Kenya leaders from the Limuru 3 group visited the headquarters of former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa's party in Nairobi.

This meeting took place as the opposition, led by former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, is actively working to ensure that President William Ruto's administration is held accountable by opposition leaders.

The team included Jeremiah Kioni, the former ruling party secretary General, Martha Karua, former Murang'a governor Mwangi wa Iria, and Maina Njenga.

The leaders were expected to tour the party headquarters and later issue a statement on the current political and economic situation in the country.

Absent from the team was former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who is currently abroad attending to other international commitments.
