The 31-year-old unsigned free agent Andros Townsend has started training with Burnley, a freshly promoted Premier League squad. Townsend looked for a new chance after his Everton contract expired and discovered one with Burnley.

Townsend, unfortunately, missed the entire previous season due to a knee injury despite earning 13 caps for England. He is now committed to succeeding in his comeback and helping Burnley's top-flight campaign.

In March 2022, the former player for Tottenham, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle made his final appearance in a first-team match.
Townsend might help Burnley manager Vincent Kompany get a contract after the team won the Championship last year.
Soumaila Coulibaly, a defender for Borussia Dortmund, is set to have a physical with the club on Monday, and the Clarets are also nearing an agreement to loan him out for the entire season.

In addition, they are anticipated to sign England Under-21 goalkeeper James Trafford, who recently reached a £15 million agreement with champions Manchester City.
