Moses Kuria, the outgoing cabinet secretary for trade and industry, uploaded three tear-jerking songs shortly after President William Ruto reorganized his government.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was featured in a photo released by Kuria, who was transferred to the Ministry of Public Service and Performance Management.

There have been rumors regarding his intentions since he did not caption the photo on his X platform, which was once Twitter.

Turn on the lights for me, my Lord, is a line from the song Mwathani wakwa njakaniria tawa by John Murage & Gicheha wa Ngugi.

The song goes:

1. My God, turn on the lights for me; I have been followed behind by great darkness. Before me, the shadows seem like stones, where my enemies wait for me.

I ask you to send angels; when I get there, I find them sleeping, so I don’t have sorrow in my heart.

More to follow.
