Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has defended kenya kwanza's government reshuffle, saying it was just a normal reorganization.
According to the DP, the reshuffle was a normal thing to optimize and improve service performance in Ruto's administration. He denied that the reshuffle was hasty.
"One year is not so soon. A year is a long time. Reshuffles have always been conducted over the years. The president has the mandate to set up his government. He is the one who made the appointments and placed them in the respective dockets and in the interest of service delivery he saw it fit to effect some changes," said Gachagua in an interview with Inooro FM.
He stated that the president made the reassignments based on the strengths of the two Cabinet Secretaries and that there was no problem with having the CS for Lands and Water transfer duties.

DP Gachagua maintains that the Ministers affected by the rearrangement made no mistakes.
"I don't think the president has made any mistake by pointing at those individuals. If there was something wrong, he would have sacked them. It is all about reorganizing his government," he said.
The DP refuted that the reshuffle was limited to the Mt Kenya region, stating that all significant dockets previously assigned to the region remain intact.
He advised all those delegated obligations by the President to focus on service delivery or risk being fired.
