A 22-year-old man from Okiludu village, Teso South constituency in Busia county, has died after being crushed by a Sugarcane Milling Machine while working in the fields.
According to witnesses at the scene, Brain Etyang was loading sugarcane into the machine when his clothes got entangled in the machine, pulling him in and leading to his horrific death.
His colleague's efforts to get him out of the machine were unsuccessful. Residents have now asked workers to be cautious to avoid such incidents.
