According to Odinga, President William Ruto has come under fire from opposition leader Raila Odinga for interfering with the business of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition party.

Speaking on Sunday at the birthday party for Siaya senator Oburu Oginga in Bondo, Siaya County, Odinga charged President Ruto with attempting to splinter the alliance by spreading untrue rumors about Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's potential presidential bid in the 2027 general election.

Odinga told Ruto to cease disparaging the Wiper leader in response to the President's recent comments that he will only face Mr. Musyoka in the 2027 election.

He insisted that Azimio is still intact and that the choice of its new flagbearer will only be made when it is correct.

He talks about Kalonzo Musyoka as if they are on an equal footing, whereas Musyoka is significantly superior to Ruto. With speculation about who will run for President, he wants to split us apart even though we have not made any announcements. Since Kalonzo is an honest man, we'll demonstrate to him that he knows nothing, he said.

Musyoka, for his part, cautioned the President to refrain from discussing problems related to the 2027 general elections until the divisive issues surrounding the 2022 general elections have been handled.

He further said that President Ruto's opponent in the upcoming election would have a walkover because Kenyans are already tired of the Kenya Kwanza administration.

"Whoever runs for President in the upcoming elections will have an easy win, a stroll through the park. Because they cannot trust this government, Kenyans are frustrated, according to the Wiper leader.
