Police are investigating the death of a man who committed suicide in his house in North Kanyajuok in Migori County on Wednesday after visiting his sick wife in hospital.
Confirming the incident, the area chief, David Onyango, said the man who was in his 60s, was found dead inside the house of his younger wife, who is hospitalized at Rongo Sub-County Hospital.
According to Onyango, he hung himself.
Onyango said the deceased's family members became suspicious after they failed to see him up early as usual and discovered his body in the house mid-morning.
Further, the family indicated that the man looked disturbed when he came from the hospital after visiting his sick wife.
