President William Ruto has hit back at those criticizing his numerous foreign trips, saying he is the country's chief ambassador and the trips are for the benefit of Kenyans.

Speaking in Eldoret, he said that he is traveling outside the country to look for job opportunities for Kenyans and to unlock investment avenues for the country.

"There are those who say I am flying out a lot, but they forget I'm the country's chief ambassador and I have to look for job opportunities for Kenyans," Ruto said.

The Head of State revealed that he managed secure 350,000 job opportunities for Kenyans in his recent trip to Saudi Arabia as Saudis want their services because they are the best.

Further, he revealed that he will be going back to Riyadh in the next three weeks to unlock more investment and employment opportunities.

The president has made tens of trips abroad since assuming office in August 2022, something that has attracted criticism from the opposition and a section of Kenyans.
