Two General Service Unit (GSU) officers have been killed, and four others were seriously injured after the vehicle they were in collided with a remote-controlled IED near Ege-Dam on the Daadab Garissa Road.
According to a police report obtained by royal media, the officers were in a single car on their way to KCPE monitoring duties when they ran over the IED, which was thought to have been planted by al-Shabaab terrorists.
The officers who were injured were taken to Dadaab Hospital for treatment.
