Kenyans on social media are outraged after the tourism ministry rolled out a carpet for King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla at the Nairobi National Park.

The carpet sparked considerable debate, with many people needing help understanding the logic of the decision. The carpet was rolled out at the Nairobi National Park, hosted by Tourism Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua.

CS Alfred Mutua remarked on X that he was honored to have had the opportunity to host the King and his wife at "The World's only Wildlife Capital."

"Our discussions centred on the incredible array of wildlife they had the opportunity to observe during a memorable game drive, as well as the extensive wildlife conservation initiatives spearheaded by the Kenyan Government," he stated in an email.

Kenyans who were unhappy with the carpet questioned why the carpet was there.

"This is a park. The carpet was just mediocrity. The Queen was harmed with boots clear indication she knew she's visiting a park."
