Meru County Governor Hon. Kawira Mwangaza was made to watch a video in which her husband, Murega Baichu, was seen issuing threats to mobilize "hustlers" to remove Deputy Governor Hon. Mutuma from his office. This incident occurred at an event held in Ngundune, Meru, last month.
In a video clip observed by this writer, the leader of the legal team representing Kawira Mwangaza played the footage to refute allegations and reports suggesting that it was her who threatened to forcibly enter the Deputy Governor's office and remove him. In the video, Murega can be heard and seen advising Mutuma to act appropriately or consider resigning. However, the lawyer elicited laughter from the senators when he inquired of the witness testifying against Kawira Mwangaza if he couldn't distinguish between Kawira Mwangaza and her husband, Murega Baichu.
In a surprising turn of events at the ongoing Impeachment hearing, a photo collage featuring Kawira Mwangaza and a screenshot from a County Assembly WhatsApp group displaying MCA removals were presented.
The leader of Meru County Governor Hon. Kawira Mwangaza's legal team astounded Senators, MCAs, and other attendees when he informed the Senate Speaker about Deputy Governor Hon. Mutuma's involvement in a County Assembly WhatsApp group where he directed bitter insults towards the Governor.
During his presentation, the lawyer further asserted that the Deputy Governor has been on record addressing the Governor in derogatory terms, including labels such as "childish," "mannerless," and "prostitute."

Additionally, the lawyer contended that it would be regrettable for the Deputy Governor to assert that he has been marginalized in the County's operations while simultaneously encouraging members of the public to disrupt Governor Kawira's rallies.
However, it is yet to be determined whether the House will come to the Governor's aid for the second time. It remains to be seen whether or not the house will save the senator for the second time in a row.
