A 22-year-old man drowned in the waters of the Siayabei River in Narok County when he went for a dip with a friend and got stuck in the muddy water.
The deceased, Doti Ngaiwaitei, a resident of Enorua Eseka village in Mosiro Location, was not able to swim his way out of the water as efforts to rescue him turned futile.
According to a police report, the scene was visited by Ntulele OCS in the company of Red Cross divers who retrieved the deceased's body.
The body was taken to Narok Referral Hospital Mortuary, awaiting autopsy.
