Tigania East MP Mpuru Aburi has demanded an apology from Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza for a video clip shown during her impeachment hearing in the Senate, claiming it was edited.
"Nataka apology kutoka kwa Meru County Governor wetu kwamba aliambia Wakenya uwongo." Niko tayari statement, alete video, mimi niko na video yangu ya maneno niliongea..."ile yao ilikuwa imekatwakatwa kuonyesha ya kwamba Mpuru amekuwa kina Mama," he explained.

In the video, MP Aburi verbally abuses Governor Mwangaza for not having children with her present husband.
The politician is heard delivering a spirited address while rubbing a stick between his palms and speaking in the Meru dialect.
When asked by her counsel to explain what the MP was saying, Governor Mwangaza replied:
"He's saying he's given me nine months to get pregnant if that doesn't happen. "He'll do it through what he's holding," the county executive said before breaking down in tears.
The legislator is now accusing the Meru County boss of altering the video to support her claim, and he is on his way to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to issue a statement and request investigations.
MP Aburi claims he values and respects women and has never done anything to denigrate them in any way.
The legislator added that he has the entire video of what he said and will provide it to the DCI to aid in their investigation.
MP Aburi commented on Friday as Governor Mwangaza went home triumphant after surviving the second impeachment attempt in less than a year.
