The Kenya National Examinations Council has apologized to candidates and their guardians for the delay in accessing the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results.

Those who tried to access the results received a text message from KNEC saying they will receive an update once they are available on 40054.

“Greetings, we apologize for the delay in accessing KCPE 2023 results. We will update you once they are available on 40054,” KNEC said.

The KNEC website and SMS platforms have not let certain applicants, their parents, or guardians to view the results.

To access the results, candidates and guardians had to send an SMS to 40054 with their index number and the initials KCPE (in capital letters).

A lot of people have taken to KNEC social media channels to vent their frustration, claiming that their attempts to receive results have been fruitless.

A single SMS message costs Kes 25 according to the service provider.
