A three-day trip to Mombasa has been awarded to Michael Warutere, the top candidate in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam.

As a reward for his outstanding performance, Viutravel provided full sponsorship for Warutere, who came in first place with 428 out of 500 points.

Live on Citizen TV's Tonight Show, Viutravel's Guest Relations Officer Annette White gave the top contender the gift.

"At Viutravel we award excellence and so we appreciate that you have done well. This is a three-day fully paid holiday to Mombasa. Go and enjoy yourself for what you have done. We appreciate you with this and we wish you all the best," said Annette White.

Speaking on the program, Warutere—who wants to work as a software engineer—credited discipline and maintaining a healthy work-life balance for his accomplishments.

"You have to balance your time properly. Because you cannot always be on your books. Have time to study as well as time to exercise so that your brain can process information properly and in the end you will achieve success," said Warutere.
