President William Ruto departed the nation for Arusha, Tanzania, on Thursday afternoon.

Ruto is scheduled to participate in the High-Level Panel on Climate Change and Food Security of the East Africa Community (EAC).

Presidents Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania, Évariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi, Hailemariam Desalegn of Ethiopia, Édouard Ngirente of Rwanda, and Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, the first deputy prime minister of Uganda, are among the other heads of state present at the forum.

The occasion is a prelude to COP 28, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, scheduled in Dubai from November 30, 2023, to December 12, 2023.

In the sustainable development principle framework, the forum is anticipated to examine methods for mitigating the adverse effects of climate change in the area and seizing any opportunities it may present.

Just before he left the nation, President Ruto graced the Joyful Women Organization's 14th anniversary in Kasarani, Nairobi County.
