President William Ruto has accepted the proposals of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO).
"You've heard that those in charge of the Dialogue are done with that work, and we applaud them of finishing that task, now let us join hands and take Kenya forward," he said.
President Ruto addressed congregations at the Priesthood Fellowship in Kahawa West, Roysambu Constituency, on Sunday, advocating for a 50% cut in government spending and asking leaders to live within their means for Kenya's progress.

"They have made recommendations, and all of them are acceptable. I have already done so where they claimed we should cut government spending by half. Those pushing for a 30% reduction should raise it to 50% for Kenya to move forward. "We must learn to live within our means," he continues.
The Head of State also urged Members of Parliament to consider the committee's recommendations as soon as possible, emphasizing the importance of working together to take Kenya ahead.
"All the other things that they have suggested, it is now up to you MPs to debate on the issue and get done with it so as to continue working together without hate and division," he added.
President Ruto praised the committee's four-month effort and emphasized the importance of their recommendations.
In a joint statement issued on Saturday, November 25, the committee emphasized the need to cut travel expenditures across government arms by 50% and proposed a 30% reduction in Daily Subsistence Allowances for State and Public Officers.
According to the committee, the action is intended to address the critical issue of the all-time high cost of living.
The committee's deliberations were also remarkable for the suggestion to construct offices for the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Official Opposition.
Pending National Assembly approval, these proposed roles may see Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and opposition leader Raila Odinga appointed to them.
