In an interview with Citizen TV , Saibatao Kanchory said that he held a tense phone call with his party leader Raila Odinga after the independent electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) chairperson Wafula Chebukati invited him (Raila) to Bomas.
According to Kanchory, he placed a phone call to the former prime minister and asked him not to come at the Bomas of Kenya following the invitation of IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati on the material day.
Instead, Kanchory said that he would embark on finding out more details on exactly what the presidential election results that were to be announced at the Bomas of Kenya were. Mr. Kanchory said that Chebukati later on agreed to share the results and asked Kanchory to sign, something he did not do.
