Police have arrested a 30-year-old man after he allegedly intercropped bhang of unknown value on his Kurongurik farm in Emurua Dikirr, Narok county.
Ilkerin sub-location Assistant Chief Phillip Ngetich said the suspect, Robert Langat, was nabbed after public members raised concerns about strangers visiting his home at odd hours.
"We visited his farm and found that he had planted the prohibited plant in between the maize plantation and also hidden some along the flower garden, we are still investigating to find out some of his potential customers who are in this trade," Ngetich said.
Several rolls of bhang and stems were recovered and freshly harvested plants ready to be packaged during the arrest.
Police still assess the street value before the suspect is taken to court.
