The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has temporarily closed five roundabouts along the Uhuru Highway.
From today (December 28) to January 1, 2024, the roundabouts at Nyayo Stadium, Bunyala, Haile Selassie Avenue, Kenyatta Avenue, and University Way will be closed.
KeNHA says the closure allows for essential highway maintenance along the specified sections.
Following the closure, KeNHA Director General Eng. Kung'u Ndung'u has urged motorists to use caution and obey traffic signs while using the route.

"Approach these affected sections with caution as some lanes will be closed and traffic subjected to share lanes and Follow the traffic signs and guidance in place as shall be directed by traffic marshalls and Police on site," he said in a statement seen by Waza News.
KeNHA also announced the temporary closure of a section of the Nairobi Southern Bypass between Lang'ata Interchange and Ngong Interchange on Wednesday.
The closure, which began on Wednesday and will last until January 23, 2024, is being implemented to allow for the construction and installation of a virtual weighbridge along the route.
"To minimize the traffic disruption, the closure will involve one lane of each carriageway at a time," KeNHA said.
"Motorists, therefore, are required to use one lane of each carriageway on both bounds."
