President Ruto stated that up to 50% of NHIF money was taken by unscrupulous persons seeking to stop changes to healthcare through the legal system to continue profiting.
President Ruto accused the Chief Justice Martha Koome-led Judiciary of riding on impunity and urged the Executive to resist directives that undermine the country's development objectives.
President Ruto's legislative allies followed suit and backed him up in an apparent organized attack on the judiciary.
