Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has advised Kenyans to be patient as the Kenya Kwanza government addresses the country's economic challenges.
Speaking on New Year's Eve in Nakuru, the DP acknowledged that the previous year had been difficult for Kenyans but vowed that the New Year would shift the fortunes of many Kenyans.
"I want to assure you, hizi shida zimekuwa huu mwaka ni kidogo, huu mwaka wa 2024 tukiuangalia tunaona mwangaza na mbele iko sawa," he was quoted as saying.

Deputy Gachagua defended the affordable housing plan, which is being challenged in court.
"Huu mradi wa affordable housing, imetoa kazi kwa vijana wetu, 650 units." "Mafundi wa hapa Bondeni ndio wakaleta windows, doors, and we want the project to continue so that we can create jobs for the youth," the DP remarked.
