Ababu Namwamba has responded to a video in which a woman mentions her connections to him during a fight with hospital staff.

An anonymous lady and man were seen harassing hospital staff in an undated video filmed at Port Victoria Hospital in Busia County about what they called a failure to care for a patient.

The woman who caused havoc by throwing files on the floor and hitting a table was overheard warning the nurse that she would call one "Ababu."

“I have a right, let me call Ababu, this is how you kill people here, we have a patient in the emergency she cannot breathe,” she stated as she threw objects at the hospital staff and littered the floor.

After the footage went viral The CS has now addressed the public debate in a social media statement.

“The actions associated with me do not align with my values or commitment to public service. I unequivocally condemn any behavior against principles of integrity. I am thoroughly investigating these allegations and will take decisive actions to rectify any wrongdoing,” Namwamba wrote.

The CS committed to "rebuilding trust through transparency and corrective measures."

The conduct sparked popular outrage and criticism, prompting KMPDU Secretary General Davji Atellah to demand judicial action.
