Following an accident on Monday at 1:15 a.m. on the Narok-Bomet road, at least 16 people were injured.

Six people suffered severe injuries, and ten people suffered minor ones in a head-on collision between a lorry and a matatu, according to the National Police Service (NPS).

For treatment, the victims were taken immediately to Narok County Referal Hospital.

The Ololulunga Police Station's NPS officers are handling the accident scene.

The incident comes after another deadly crash in Bomet on Sunday that claimed the lives of two people after a private vehicle and boda boda collided.

The pillion passenger on the boda boda rider passed away while being transported to Kaplong Hospital, according to Andrew Muturi, the Sotik sub-county police commander.

At Kaplong Hospital, one of the Probox's occupants receives medical attention for their injuries.
