Police are investigating an incident where the body of a middle-aged man was found in a dam near Kobodo Trading Center in Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County.
Confirming the incident, Kaduet Sub Location assistant chief Zacharia Were Odhul says the deceased, whose identity has not been revealed, was discovered floating on Kawino dam by a group of women who went to wash their clothes.
Further, he said that they have not established whether the deceased drowned inside the dam or was murdered elsewhere before his body was dumped in the dam.
Odhul says that the deceased had a white robe and had no visible injuries on his body.
Additionally, he states that after retrieving the deceased body with the help of security officers from Kobodo Police station, the community who thronged the scene could not identify him.

His body was taken to Homa Bay mortuary for postmortem as investigations to establish the cause of his death continue.
