Police are looking for a 34-year-old woman who was kidnapped and defiled by unknown people on the night of January 13, 2024, in Awendo Sub County.
According to Area Assistant Chief Emma Wanga, the child said that three individuals wearing masks entered their house in the middle of the night, and two whisked away her mother, while one who remained in the house defiled her before going to join the two who vanished with her mother.
Wanga stated that the girl, who was terrified after the suspect threatened to murder her, endured the ordeal in the main house until the next morning when she reported the incident.
According to the area Assistant Chief, the mother of the girl abducted by three unknown individuals has not been found, and the police have increased their search efforts.

The girl was transported to the hospital for treatment while police searched for her mother, who is believed to still be in the hands of the abductors.
She stated that the assault occurred while the girl's father was gone at work in Siaya County.
The area Assistant Chief has urged members of the public to come forward with any information that will aid in investigations.
