An 8-year-old child escorting her sister to school in Webuye has died after the vehicle she was in collided head-on with an oncoming truck.
According to police, the deceased girl was walking her sister to form one at Lugulu Girls High School.
The girl in the salon car died as a result of the collision, which occurred near Bilibili on the busy Webuye highway.

According to witnesses, the accident included a private vehicle and a lorry. The cars were traveling in different directions. Witnesses at the site stated that the private vehicle had four passengers.
"Five people who sustained injuries are undergoing treatment at Kimilili Hospital."
The deceased's body has been transported to the Kiminini Cottage Hospital Mortuary.
